The sketch is a freehand drawing that quickly sketches out an idea. The sketch is the starting point in the process of creating made-to-measure jewelry, because it allows us to easily represent different models and variations based on the same idea. The sketch serves as a means of communication\nbetween the jewelry designer and the customer. To create my sketches, I often use a graphite pencil to give volume, recreate textures and place light and shade in my creations. Graphite is a form of carbon similar to diamonds. Its name comes from the Greek grafein, which means ' <\/strong>to write '<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>

Today, the graphite pencil is versatile, easy to carry and to find in shops. It offers incredible precision and excellent coverage in a variety of paper media. Another advantage of the graphite pencil is that it doesn't degrade over time, which I particularly appreciate because It allows me to keep all my ideas on paper, consult them or draw inspiration from them a few years later.<\/p>

Graphite pencil gradation<\/strong>
There are different types of hardness, ranging from black to very light gray. Graphite pencils are graded from 9H to 9B. The so-called hard pencils go from 9H to H and are used more for technical drawings or for very light shades. The F pencil is in the middle of the scale between the hard pencils and the soft pencils, which go from HB to 9B, and are used mainly for flat tints and darker shades. My favourite pencil for sketching is undoubtedly the F pencil.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Types of graphite pencil
<\/strong>There are many different ways of finding a graphite pencil: for example<\/em>, there is the classic graphite pencil, surrounded<\/em> by wood or paper. The wood-free graphite pencil, which can also be used to draw fine lines and solids. However<\/em>, it has one drawback: it is very messy and breaks very easily. Mechanical pencil. Very practical and not messy, it allows you to draw very fine and precise lines.<\/p>

Personally, I never go out without a mechanical pencil, an eraser and some paper in my bag. The truth is that I love drawing just about everywhere. This can be the case for example on the plane during the holidays, in restaurants while I'm waiting for my meal, in a park at sunset or from time to time before going to sleep. Many of my first ideas were sketched on a paper napkin next to a delicious cappuccino.<\/p>
